Take your Business Accounts to the Cloud

Over recent months the team at AUS-IP Services have successfully implemented SecurApps cloud services for numerous clients, empowering them with their business accounting systems in the cloud. In all of these cases the clients required access to their accounting systems from numerous geographic locations, not only local but interstate and overseas.

In normal circumstances such a solution would require the installation and configuration of an onsite terminal server with a starting price no less than $10,000. Such a solution would then be dependent on the head office internet connection for both continual access and speed. In most of these deployments this was not an option as it was absolutely cost prohibitive. In the other cases where budgets and cash flow would allow for internal infrastructure upgrades, it was decided that a cloud solution was more cost effective, more reliable, more secure and a much more viable option.

These implementations successfully facilitated two very popular accounting systems with little to no usage limitations compared to that of a local installation. MYOB’s AccountRight Premier and Winward Software’s System 5 were two of the most recent deployments.

The deployments of MYOB AccountRight Premier facilitated all MYOB reporting functions with conduits to Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Not to mention the ability to email reports, invoices, statements and orders etc. without the dreaded email security prompts that majority of MYOB users are faced with.

Our recent deployment of System 5 required the use of the Pervasive SQL v11 as backend database. Although normally a relatively resource intensive database engine, this was not a problem for the AUS-IP SecurApps platform. This system is currently facilitating up to 10 concurrent users in multiple geographic locations. With each independent site requiring the ability to print, point of sale receipts and shipping labels to local receipt and label printers. All of these solutions are leveraging AUS-IP’s powerful SecurVault data backup service for data security and disaster recovery.
